Anyone have a pic of homemade motor mounts they made to drop a Cummins in their 94-00 diesel chevy? Pics help**if I see something I can make it! I understand motor should be in and aligned for clearances first and every truck is diff but I just want a good idea of what i need and need to work with thanks! I have both trucks and mounts if it matters...*Matt

I've seen 1st-gen mounts successfully used in a Chevy 2wd by adding a piece of 3/8" plate under the rubber frame mount. Sorry, no pic though.

Please post pics of your progress. I have a newly aquired lowered 94 chevy ext-cab dually with supercharged 454 that i would LOVE to drop a 12 valve cummins into. :pca1:

Ok 3/8 plate is fine but do you know or can you tell me what how or where that 3/8 plate is installed? Is it like just sandwiched/bolted between the two 1st gen block mounts and chevy frame mounts? Or can you explain it beter? Thanks and yes I will have pics up! Even of my mounts since no one has any no offense lol

No chevy mounts. Use the complete 89-93 dodge/cummins mounts. Where the mounts land on the chevy frame, shim it with 3/8" plate. Should give you the oil pan and steering clearance you need.

So far core support/front end drive shaft and mounts are unbolted and off on chevy, just have to unbolt trans, pull it and hook up motor and pull her out.... then doing the same to cummins only cutting her out lol truck is kinda beat up so im just going to scrap her sadly... but ill be fabbing mounts soon...this weekend or next week at latest so pics will be up soon!

I just did a 88 chevy new body style 3500 and used every part from the dodge 93 2500 for the swap. used the motor mounts juat as they were, pretty easy swap. Now i am doing a 95 chevy 3500 4x4 that was started by someone without any brains and got in above their head, he used autoworld mounts and after correcting the install it fits great. pics as soon as i can get some up.
