Question about an 89' 5.9 rebuild

It's time to re ring the beast. I figured while I had it apart I might as well do some other upgrades. This is my first tear down on the 1st gen. Anyone got any suggestions on other upgrades while its down? :humm:

I did the hammilton cam 24v tappets and arp rod bolds. stress relieved the rods. that was about it on the lower when i built mine.

Stud things while your got her down. Also, get a three piece exhaust manifold, not really for performance, it does help a little, but more foe sealing and agianst cracking a stock manifold.
Get a good quality rebuild kit....these folks are good and helpful.....

If you plan on a performance motor, go with a good mild cam....you won't regret it, if you do alot of towing and for performance work.
