1993 dodge cummins won't roll coal
I have a 1993 dodge cummins..... 2x4 automatic with pump mods stage 2 fuel pin hx40 turbo with 5 inch stacks. I've done almost everything I've been told to do to this truck to get it to roll coal........ Does anyone have any other suggestions?:scare2:
|
What is "Roll Coal"? :pca1:
|
Sounds like you got your truck set up just right to me.
|
how about you quit worrying about "rolling coal" and worry about using the truck for what it was made for...? :humm:
|
No smoke is better. means your making power and not just smoke. Also make sure the spark plugs are not fouled... that could cause it to not "roal coal" :argh:

It's not like I want to black smoke everywhere....... Just when I want to :jump:
I've heard some people say put an airdog fuel system, pod injectors, and a low stall torque converter. They said it would help with power and it will be much easier to get some smoke out of a 12v. |
To roll coal, wrap a garbage bag around the air filter.

Did you search this topic by chance? I think you should

oh the memories! thank you! :yeah: |
why does rolling coal give so many people hard-ons? :ouch:
for one the only way you can see it without a hood stack is to look behind u. who wants to spend that much time looking in your rear view mirror just to see smoke? why dont you smother your truck inside and out in diesel and drop a match while sitting in it. then everyone in your neighborhood can watch you and your truck black out the sky for a little while? maybe youll fulfill your lifes destiny if thats what your after! |
RedNeck in case you can't figure it out the idea is....tune for max power with minimum smoke. Trailing a plume of black smoke is not cool !:td::td:

Is the lift pump (the one on the side of the block) working properly? Wont smoke if it aint getting fuel to the injector pump!
|
check your spark plugs. they will become clogged and not allow your coal to roll itself properly. :rocking:
my blinker fluid was low once... my truck didnt want its coal to roll at all. :argh: |
NO MERCY!!! lol I dont think hes coming back...
|
The injector pump should have a fuel screw on the back of it, move it out a little ways and see if it makes a difference. Some 12v injuector pumps dont have it so if you cant find it, it may not have one
|
haha it pisses me off. he wont be back more than likely.
some jackass around here has his truck smoking like a train. he cant move without smoking.. even when idling theres smoke coming out. its irritating... some hills around here are a mile or 2 long going up.. ill slap the crap out of him if he ever tries to smoke me out |

the coal roller is no longer with us, it seems. :rocking:

You don't want to rod diesel engines when the engine is cold

My cousin used to hate my side exit exhaust, his lowered civic was perfect height for my exhaust n we used to race up the mountain here, I'd blow him away every time but with the pods the VE had I could fill his car with smoke at 110 kmh. lol once in a while he'd back off for a minute or two then swear at me once we got to his place lol.
|
instead of "roughing him" you should encourage him to tune his truck to be more efficient and powerful, like a cummins should be. and please tell him his truck dosent have spark plugs. :c: weve all been "dumb" once when it comes to a diesel engine. most of the time the "rolling coal" is what sucks you in anyway..
|
ill tell him when he gets back. hes been busy trying to fix his blinker fluid problem :ouch:
|
lol....

People taht want to make black smoke are fools.. they are flashing a big sign say" hey look at me! we need a law against this" Don't laugh the government is always looking for ways to expand their pwoer and influence in people's lives.. I think diesel peoplae damn lucky.. BIG power, decent mileage, a workhorse and last near on forever.. Don't mess up a good thing with foolish ideas about black smoke it onlt takes a few folks pissed about it to piss in your Cheerios.. think about it. Yeah I know spelol checker.. :humm:
