I think I'm gonna take the fuel heater right out, I've Hurd that your better off without it

I removed mine with no complaints. That heater really is worthless LOL.

I feel like its an injector too. Is there a number stamped on it or some way to identify make and size?

coreywarren 06-04-2012 05:31 PM

Do you know what your running for
Fuel pressure?

cumminstothefloor 06-04-2012 07:32 PM

I have no clue. Why?

No we didn't he had a set off of a 96 but u can clean them yourself its easy

Because knowing the fuel pressure Could tell you alot. Low pressure meaning
You have a faulty lift pump or overflow valve. Have good pressure could lead you somewheres else such as bad injectors etc.

But if i had bad fuel pressure why would the other injectors cause a drop in rpm when lines are cracked? The chugging clears up when the turbo starts spooling too.

I'm still thinking it's an injector.

So I got home from NC for work to my tow mirrors, which one was broken so it had to go back, but here is the other..

I also pulled out the first injector, took it apart and cleaned it real good. There was quite a bit of carbon on the nozzle. The problem is not fixed, but im going to take the rest out to clean tomorrow and check the fuel pre heater screen to see if it is gummed up. Hopefully it is..

do you remember how many holes were in the tip? that could designate who "made" the injectors....
