I had the same problem with 95 cummins...turned out to be a bad speed sensor.

check your fluid level with the truck on level ground and in NEUTRAL with the engine running at operating temp, MOST trucks are about 1-2 quarts low if they read full in park and then are checked in neutral..... sounds stupid but it might be the problem....
If its a GPS just go to end customes and get a GPS delete I just got one its sweet
I would probably say that it might be caused by a speed sensor. Mine has that issue, and I will replace the sensor on the rear diff.

you need to check the voltage on the tps http://dieselgiant.com/dodge_diesel_...nance_tips.htm
this link should help keep scrolling down |
so the tps seems fine. i stoped at the dealership and they can re-flash the truck for 85 bucks but with no gaurantee fix. i was thinking, could i just get a trans controller from another truck? say a 97 with the 47re. that should take care of the problem rite?:argh:
did you check the trans fluid in neutral with the engine running?
trans fluid was a tad low. topped it off but havnt driven it yet.
