No Speedometer! HELP

1 Attachment(s)
So i just finished taking my 97 12 valve motor/tranny/chassis and put on a 99 body using its interior and everything. I then bought a 98 12 valve wiring harness and have everything working but my speedo and headlights. I tried using the ABS sensor from the 97 and 99. So my question is why arent there any wires coming from my new harness to go to my tcase? And is that why i have no speedo? And what should i do? I'm all out of ideas and anything will help!

heres a pic just to show it off. lol check out the v10 on the door.

the newer truck reads speed from a sensor in the rear diff. and not from the t case...do you still have the original comp installed aswell?

Re: No Speedometer! HELP

I have the 98 pcm as well. I've heard from a few people that it uses the ABS sensor in the rear end and the one on the tcase together fot the speedometer. I'm starting to think I have a 2wd harness on my 4wd. My next question is what wires do I need to rob from a 2wd auto harness to run to my tcase for the vss?

Re: No Speedometer! HELP

Thanks riggle but I just got everything figured out. My wiring harness is set up for the 12v+ and the cab is the ground switch. I ended up just cutting the ground wire off my headlight and wiring it to the 20 amp headlight fuse and everything works how it should. I fixed my speedometer by hooking up the 99 ABS computer. Thanks for the help guys.
