why black smoke. tune it right and get the hp out of it. just beacuse it smokes doesn't mean anything. it you want smoke take the fuel plate out and roll star wheel ff. do you have any mods now or is your truck stock. like i said tune it right not just for black smoke
|
just get a dynomite diesel plate for 150 but rollin coal will get old quik when you need to fuell up its just a huge waste of fuell thats why i like my 1st gen i can either drive it with no smoke or the most smoke in town depending on how hard i smash the loud pedal

i wouldnt be surprised if he actualy does try and block off the intake lol
|
crank your starwheel, pull your fuel plate... if you have a automatic transmission, be prepared to kiss it goodbye...
but.... it will make your truck quicker... no doubt ! |
370 marine injectors 191 dvs #5 fuel plate ff afc gutted ff stock air intake it should roll more smoke then a train .................... then call rollback 3 minutes later tell them u need a lift and motor and transmission ha ha

I won't lie, rolling some coal is fun from time to time but I deffenetly wouldn't start bombing my truck just to make it smoke. Mine used to leave black clouds with light throttle, then I got off my lazy a$$ and tuned it right. Not only did it run a LOT better but the mileage also went up a few mpg. Not trying to preach to you or anything just talking from my experience.
Btw, filling out your sig will help us give you better information. :c: |

When I did mine I still wanted the look of a turbo so I opted for the compressor wheel delete and put whistlers in the exhaust so it would still sound cool. Best money ever spent in my opinion. |
My trruck is auto but has a built trani just put it in less than a mounth ago if that helps. I have a k&n cold air intake and 6in stacks. i am ok with spending some money on this i dont want to screw up my truck in the lang run. thanks for the help.

It should smoke a bit and really MOVE.... Guess you could go and advance timing to 14,5-16,5° aswell if you feel the need for extra power... First things first though, get some gauges.... EGT, Boost and Fuel Press should be good for starters... you could even just go with a Boost and EGT... |
ok thanks, i will order them tonight. And i know how to do the fuel plate, but how to do the starwheel?

Here you can see the AFC on top of the pump... You can crank the starwheel without taking off the AFC, you remove the allen screw on the top of the pump and crank the starwheel until the spring comes loose and then tighten it just lightly to hold the spring :) This will get you in the 300+whp range ;) *edit* i suggest timing to 15,5° to be safe... most will say 16,5 is safe with the stock gasket / head bolts, but i fooled one guy i know to advance to 18,5 and his truck is still holding up... |
i could have used that pump for my truck :dang:
