The only reason i bought my fuel plate is I dosnt know how to make one and couldn't does to gamble poss messing up my motor and i was told I didn't need gauges yet but if I do please let me know also if any one has some input on gov spring kits let me know as well thanks
you need gauges if you plan on doing anything to a diesel its a great thing to have..gov spring kits are great they wake ur truck up alot and improve throtle response and make the drivability great
ya i did my springs and you could tell the difference right away
These trucks should have came with 3ks from the factory and if your me you would have ordered 4ks as an option.
4k is the way to go..i agree they should have came factory with the 3k
They are quote 3k's.... but they defuel at 2700 rpm, even with 3k's you will notice a dfference, the difference between a 3k and 4k kit is 1 spring, just buy a 3k-4k kit and try it both ways

I replaced my fuel plate with an aftermarket one and replaced the governor springs due to the fact that if you move the fuel plate too much and do nothing to the governor springs you will cause the engine to over rev and will destroy the engine or tranny. Be smart and fix both issues so you do not have to replace anything else.
I am running at around 407hp now and have had no other issues with my truck due to replacing the items with the correct parts and not just pulling them out or moving them. |

Running no fuel plate will also cause your rack to hang........
O wait thats a myth Guess the trucks we have running no plates should spin 10k rpm now.... Governor springs are NOT needed just because you moved your fuel plate. You can run no plate or 10, or 7 or 4, or 0.... Fuel plate DOES NOT control RPM.... |
