bad injector pump???????????

ok, i have been having problems with my timing slipping on my 94 12v cummins. so i bought an adjustable timing gear with a key way. so i get it on an timing set an all back together an i crank on it an the motor wont start, so i crack injector lines an im not getting any fuel at all, so i pull dv's an holders an turn on ad 165 an fuel comes out all barrels put dv's an holders back in an now i have number 1 and 4 getting fuel to the injectors but nuthing from 2356. wtf?

\[B[/B]l;let me just make this clear as stated in the original post....
i have an adjustable timing gear on my truck and yes it has a keyway on the pump shaft to keep the gear from slipping...

BRE 04-04-2011 03:43 PM

Crap sorry forgot about that when i made that secong reply. Sorry about that.

pukie370 04-04-2011 04:00 PM

how did you get a key in shaft? was the pump disasembled?

BIG NIG 04-04-2011 08:03 PM

the pump shaft has a key way already cut in it, just no key. another plus to getting a adjustable gear

captain_stabbin 04-05-2011 08:45 PM

yes it does has a key on the shaft that keeps the gear from moving

you wont get fuel out of certain barrels because not every pump cylinder is going to alow fuel to spill into the barrel at the same time. try "cracking the throttle" while cranking the engine after bleeding the injectors... ran into a similar situation after installing new injectors. little bit of throttle and problem solved.
