Wanting to make a pull truck.

i am wanting to make a 12v pull truck. i am going to get a reg cab. should i get a dually or single wheel. its going to be 4x4. what mods would make it a good puller. what is the biggest injector size you can get? im new so anything would be great. should i run auto or manual.

an ex cab long bed truck would be a better choice for a work stock truck

How so? Figured you'd want a single cab long so that the weight of the truck is as little as possible, then you can put the extra weight where you want it.

in most workstock classes you can't hang weight, the longer truck will have the advantage over the shorter truck

well then id rather have a reg cab. i can just put weight in the bed couldnt i?

u can put weight in the bed, but its not ideal spot for where u want the weight. in a 4wd class u want as much weight as u can get as far as allowed on the front of the truck.

some places wont let u use bumb stops or trac bars in a work stock class.

as far as power, a 5x.014 is as big as u want to go on a stock charger, its actualy a lil to big, egts will be high.

for a good work stock beginner truck, the mods id do if it is a manual would be

3600 south bend clutch, intake, 4 inch exhuast into a stack, 5x.014 injectors, mack rack plug, and a 0 plate. it will be hot, just make sure u let it cool off good before shuttin the truck off, and if u drive it on the street, u will need to turn it down.

an auto would be the same as above but with out the clutch, u would need a tripple disk convertor, and a good valve body

imo, i think a manual would be better though

good luck :tu:
