RPM's too high

Ok, So I have 4.10 gears and mostly stock engine because I havn't had time after work to open this baby up. It idles about 500 which isn't bad but I have to get around 1800-2000 before the truck will start to pretend to have power. and cruising at about 70mph the RPM's are all the way up at 2800. What can I do to get back into the power range of 1600 when cruising. I want the power and be able to smoke a little but still get gas mileage in the upper teens.

taller tires..........you can fit up to a 35" tire , will cahnge yer rpm/speed enough

with a 35 you may need to do a 2 inch lift in the front on the springs only, they make a spacer cheap

I have a 3 inch body lift kit in the garage but after reading about cutting steering link conectors and some other stuff, i chickened out.

Also, my boost is only at 5-10 lbs. In 4th gear I can get 20 if I hammer on it
