What does your volt gauge do?? Could be the PCM, or lamp switch. :humm:

Well most of the time its alittle over 14, But sometimes it goes under 14 not much maybe 13. Thats what I was thinking was pcm.

this is odd:humm:

I can't remember where it's located exactly, but it's on the passenger side, somewhere around the firewall. When you find it, see if the connection is dirty.

The headlight switch is cheap and very easy to change.
(If cleaning the PCM connections doesn't help)

I've had to replace my headlight switch 3 times
Once in my old 95 1500 gasser
And Twice in my 96 2500 CTD

The trailer lights pull thru that headlight switch from the factory. (If your truck didn't come with the OEM trailer wiring installed, most didn't, mine didn't even have a Reese hitch on it) There is a fix for this, running your wiring off the OEM harness under the drivers side door / bottom of the firewall area. I did and now no more headlight switch problems.

Not saying this is your problem, but it might help.

Thanks, Iam going to try cleaning it. if that doesnt work iam going to replace the light switch. Then go from there

Doesn't do it until he mashes on it eh...

Follow the positive battery cable on the drivers side down to the starter. There is a point where it is held in place by the oil pan bolts and many times it will wear and intermittently make contact thus creating a quick short or discharge of the charging system. This is more prone to happen when your under heavy acceleration and the motor torques over due to the normal rotation of the motor. That cable is a known problem and I have seen it fail alot and need replaced. Not syaing its your issue but its certainly worth a looky see.........Andy
