make sure you be careful not to break your crank postion sensor, its 125 bucks for a new one and wont run right without it, make your own tab its easy and cheap, i have pictures of mine in my profile if you want to take a peak.

one killer dowel pin, two dowl pins total but you dont have to worry about the bottom one it isnt in the gear case, it did mine whil ei was overhauling my engine but it shouldnt take more than 3 hours, i help on one of my budies 98 12 last month he did the work i did the directing

is it a total bear to do in the truck with the radiator and intercooler in?

12valvetater 03-18-2009 07:43 PM

you have to pull the bumper radiator intercooler fan and gear cover its a nce saturday project

392hemix 03-18-2009 08:13 PM

I did mine without even tackin the fan shroud off., just pull the fan off, and you can get to everything, i would also recomend takein the upper radiator house off, it onley took me 2 hours to do, would of been quicker if i didn't break my cps and i also made my own tab! Just take your time and watch what your doing.:U:

I didn't have to remove the bumper when i had mine done. And if you take out your radiator and intercooler while doing the job, blow out both of them to.That'l help the engine run a little cooler.
