just replace the seals it aint that hard
where can i find the seals at, i got to take my timing case back off here in a few weeks anyway i better do it all. my welding job didnt hold the case craked somemore
did you tig it will aluminum filler wire? the seals you can get from any cummins dealer or dodge
i had a buddy of mine do it he did tig weld it i dunno what wire he used but the case cracked in about 4 other places its leaking real badand i had a back up timing case and it got sold out from under me .
damn that sucks. the delivery valves aren't hard at all but you need that special socket to take them off.
hope it all woks out for ya. |
you could buy the socket or use a big set of chennellocks without screwing up the holders
yea i can get the socket pretty cheap i have a account with snap on, anyone know where to get a good used timing gearhousing.or gas tank straps , i tried all the junk yards in my area and about 300 or so miles away i cant find thing i need .
good luck trying to find that stuff i looked all over and could barely find any thing. the stuff i did find was super expensive. pure diesel power has the updated case for 279.99 i was going to buy it but i dont think mine is cracked any where.
the part i had welded on mine held for 2 yrs so far, but for some odd reason i found four other cracks at the bottom of the case that just happened recently. im probally going to have to buy that one from pure diesel power, i got to get it fixed, i use the truck to much. its how i make extra cash .
