What do I do?
I am new to this site and new to diesels.
I just got a 94 3500 auto with 3.55 , 155,000 and all stock. I would like to know what I need to do to get more power without a big hit to my bank account. Thanks. :rocking: |
Gauges are first and foremost if you plan on making power.. After that, Id say the norm is exhaust, intake, and a tuner.. We have ALOT of Cummins knowledge here, so Im sure they will have more details with which programmers, intakes are best for your application. But remember.. Gauges FIRST!

I understand that with every guy there is a different way to do things, and MOST ways of doing things get simular results. But after reading alot of info from this website I think I am going to have to narrow down what I want.
I want more power not ruin the truck. fuel plate some say get a different one some say take it out and forget about it. I will be getting gauges before I do anything but my employees may drive from time to time and they don't about their stuff or mine. From what I have read gauges with a fuel plate are safe mods. anything else? |
just an intake and exhaust will free up some ponies, and being an auto that tranny is just plain weak and will not like you very much when you start adding power so i would recommend maybe just sliding your stock plate forward and getting a good exhaust and intake:pca1:
