fuel plate

is there much of a difference in power ratings from a #100 plate to a #0 plate?

On stock trucks no on your truck maybe. But you have to remember all a 0 adds over a #100 is down low up top they are the same. How much smoke are you making down low? I honestly dont think its going to be enough to notice maybe 10 hp. thats my guess at least.

There shouldn't be anything noticeable... the 100 is a 0, 'cept it has a small lip on the bottom...Unless it is more a "custom" 100 that has a longer taper on it...

what ive been told is that lip helps keep the arm from going under the fuel plate.
i would think it would also help lag out of the hole.

When the governor lever is adjusted properly there is reason for the arm to slide under the plate. The only times when the arm slides under is when people do not take the time to adjust the arm after altering the position of the fuel plate or plate profile.

IMO, if your not under WOT full load conditions, there are better plate profiles for tuning that, when chosen properly can help with lag, give more low end,mid range or high end.

Different plates work better between auto vs manual as well. I prefer "softer" bottom end fueling on my auto, just to be a little easier on the trans. I don't have the $$$ for a fully built trans so I'll go easier on what I have... Although some people are looking for that big puff of smoke after they stomp the go pedal, and that's fine...to each their own I guess :U:
