Dually To Single Wheel Conversion

how can I convert my dually to a single wheel? Is it just as easy as pulling the spacers off the front and buying a set of wheels or is there a little more involved in this?Thank for any help.

I dont think there is anything to "Convert" so to speak.. Just get a set of wheels to fit it.. And yes, remove your spacer, and your fenders.. lol Unless of course you go to a super single :yeah:

pull your front hub adaptors buy full set of rims and tires you will have a little longer rear lugs than others, and if you get rid of your rims and adaptors let me know i could use them:gamer:

I've been planning this for awhile just trying to talk the wife into a set of wheels other than stock. That front spacer looks like a real joy to take off and suggestions?

when i have to take mine off to turn the rotors i i put it on stands and use a pry bar stuck between the lugs w/ the handel hitting the ground, and a 7/8in end wrench and a brass hammer, works for puttin them on as well :viking:

1997 Ram 3500 rear single conversion

Does anyone know if the rear ends on the 2500 and the 3500 are the same width???

I want to do the single rear conversion as well, but the cost of a new bed and axle might change my mind.

Thanks

You could always go with a flatbed and sigle wheel. I wanted to do this back in 05 with my 3500 but didnt i cant remember the reason but im thinking it was because of the rear axle being to wide or maybe to narrow. Ill see if i can find my old posts.
