(?) When looking for a 12v...
Are there any serious issues I should be looking for signs of when buying a high mileage 12v Cummins engine? The plan is to buy a used engine (or more likely, a complete donor truck) and rebuild it before installing it in a pickup.
Thanks in advance. |
Mods .. what has been done, Fluids, basic maintenance .. just know the transmissions are an issue, but with a some mods they work real good, and are reliable as you can get :tu:

If you're going to rebuild it anyway, the first thing you should do is pull the timing cover and see if the killer dowel pin has been tabbed.
