Yeah I can turn it by hand

JBearSVT 03-19-2015 05:59 PM

I'd say it's gotta be the converter then. I wish there was a second opinion in here though.

Apparently not many people like transmission talk. And I hope to find out soon

thats odd i have my tranny completely unhooked from the computer and have almost had it stall out from staying lock and trying to stop but have never actually stalled it and its always been fine-you just have to bump it to nuetral to kick it out of lock up, did you pull the pan off the tranny?

twwtruck 03-31-2015 05:06 AM

I'm pulled the tranny but not the pan yet

cumminspwr11 04-06-2015 11:04 AM

you could have had a super clean snap of the input shaft and gotten lucky, these trans are super easy to pull apart, i would pull the pan and see if you have any debris there and then you can turn the planets and clutch packs and make sure everything is still turning correctly and in unison

JBearSVT 04-06-2015 05:27 PM

Indeed. Actually, now that I actually pay attention and think about it, I would have dropped the pan before even dropping the tranny.

cumminspwr11 04-06-2015 09:21 PM

thats what i would have done and have done on every tranny i have pulled but to each his own right?

twwtruck 04-07-2015 04:11 AM

Well normally I would but figured it's broke so would have to be tore down anyway

JBearSVT 04-07-2015 05:14 PM

Well, there is that I guess. Still, now it's out it should be step one.
