#0 plate
i have been reading about the different fuel plates. i want the most radical avaible. its a 96 with an automatic, but the tranny and t-case have been replace with built up aftermarkets. my question is is the #0 plate the one i am desiring? thanks

Exactly what kind of work/rebuild has been done on the tranny. A 0 plate give some pretty agressive fueling but its definitely hard to say if a 0 plate is right for you as youve given us very little info about your truck or what you do with it.
What injectors are you running and have you done any other pump mods? |
a 100 will be best for you ...........starts out stock then gives 100 %
A zero plate will tear up drivetrain |

I have been running a 100 plate for a year now and have been really happy with it. As said above starts out mild then when you put the hammer down gets wild.....:U:

the engine is stock other than a cold air intake and a 4inch exhaust that i made custom myself. the truck is my daily driver. shuttleing the family around and running to the grocery store.

To run a #0 at Full Forward you would need to adjust the governor arm so it wont go under the plate. Like others have said The #100 is a great plate as well. A #100 is a mix of a #10 and a #0 I have run lots of different plates and in my opinion there's no better all around plate than a #100. What transmission are you running? Any afc Mods?
Also are you running any gauges? An EGT is a must for any plate upgrade. |
I personally dont think a zero plate is for you. Most guys running a zero have some pretty modifies trucks. Look at a 10 or a 100.
Chris brings up a good point - you dont list any guages in your signature. A Pyrometer and boost guage are a minimum. |
i do have a pyrometer. i had a pretty modified 3406b in my old peterbilt daycab. i had to keep a real close eye my temp. i had a turbo made of an industrial engine. pushed close to 60psi on a hard climb but i could keep on it for very long. my detroit has also. i have some 140 marine injectors and a big t4. gets hot real quick. i really appreciate the advice guys. i really dont have much cummins experience so any tips help me out.
