Might also throw a throttle valve adjustment while your at it. I think the cause and result may not be nearly as related as you think. Clamping off a wastegate or changing a wastegate actuator would make minimal if any changes to transmission shift strategy. maybe you hit the TV cable while working on it or bumped the tps enough knock it out but I don't think the two are directly related.

Tps signal wire should read 1v at idle.
TV cable should be set so as the throttle starts moving the bracket on the transmission begins to move at the exact same time at full throttle you should be able to push the bracket approx 1/16" further.

if you end up needing to replace the trans you should go with a manual trans.:tu:

LOL.... thats a matter of oppinion deiselhamm .... I wouldnt give up my 47rh for the world ... poor shifts and all .... :nope:

Agreed. Switching always turns into a Butcher job and it's probably more expensive than a decent rebuild. The only logic is "everyone says dodge transmissions suck" or "I had to put one or two or three in my truck".
Yet they want them rebuilt as cheap as possible lol.

A good built trans ... DIY should run around 2500 not including shafts .. with shafts i can spend around 5K .. and know what i have ... and nearly could be spent on a manual ... DD clutch and flywheel = 2100$ ... trans ( possibly a t-case ) another 2k OR MORE ... then adapters, cross members, drive shaft(s), ... ETC ... see how this can be and expensive swap ... more that 5K for a built trans ... or you can call someone like MTS trans. and get the road punnisher for about 6K and have good warranty ... handles 1K HP ..
