Do you have access to alldata or mitchel?
Any previous mechanical projects of this nature?

don't have any access to that, yes I have rebuilt everything from a 5speed to a 18speed and I work on semis everyday so mechanically I know I can do it but I know in automatics theres badass spring packs in there didn't want to get myself into shit storm of that sort

Nothing big like that. May need a few special or rotunda tools.
You'll definitely need a fsm or alldata.

Transfercase re-build is very easy. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Do you know what his reasoning is for wanting a rebuild?

I'd clarify first, I've seen lots of t-cases that were wanting a rebuild. After inspection a lot of the time it was a simple part warn out or broke. Such as the tail housing snap ring that lets the shaft slide or the teeth on the 4wheel drive gear collar. Time can be a be factor if the guys needs a quick turn around, but inspecting is always a safe bet. :tu:
