I guess I could do the same ... been wanting to do a build thread for a while just never got around to it
It's stripping down to the frame, and building it from there kind of stuff :) Putting a front locker in, drivetrain will be 250%, now it all comes down to holding the motor together with ~1000hp on fuel and the 300hp of laughing gas ;) Currently looking into a mack variable timing gear for my p7100... |
I have never been a fan of drugs so I keep my truck off them :c:
On a more serious note what turbos are you planning on running for 1000k on fuel? |
I own a 06 3500 5.9 cummins and a 96 f250 460 they have both been great trucks and pull great. I am a ford truck man but I love the cummins 5.9. I have to put my money on the dodge. If it was gas on gas the 460 is the beast of all gas it's a great engine and tuff as nails.
|
I'm thinking about using my Super 40 (16cm) over S4T (Big Bro)...
If unable to archeive the desired results i will update the HX40 to a Silver 66.. I might even build the Silver66/S4T setup and make them interchange-able, so that on race-day i will run the Big bro setup and for street manners i will change to my HX40/HX60 setup... |
an hx40 will never get you to 1000hp not even close

your hx60 will loose HP with the hx40 on top of it.

singles make more power its not a secret. your choking the big charger with the little one on the top to aid in street manners. it will still be roughty but the 60 by itself will net you more HP set-up correctly.
|
Roughty...?

It's a rather good street truck as is, EGTs are not crazy and it spools rather quick with a 16cm and 32cm HX40/HX60 combo... 800hp on compounds with EGTs ok is impressive i think... |
is that 800 flywheel or 800 ground?
|
I would say flywheel ...
|
where is your dyno sheet? i personally see a red flag come up when people claim even numbers.

I don't think he meant an even number simply as apposed to odd number.
:humm: |
see 548 not 450 or 500 or 800. my point was there are a lot of guessers out there that dont have dyno sheets to prove there butt dynos.
|
I know what you were saying its the same reason I asked my first question
|
whats up with your TQ numbers why so low?
i dont have a legit current dyno as Schieds F'd me over by about 200hp @ the extravaganza. but 2 turbos ago and a set of injectors i was 426.9hp and 960tq you do have about 1k R's more than me though, my bell is a lot earlier |

That's hot. No pun intended.

i think if it had water veins over the actual filter portion it would be radiating much much colder air. pretty neat idea though
|
you don't want to add any restriction of the air entering the turbo tho that will hurt performance just like running with a clogged air filter
|
no im saying like as in an air box lid. leave the 4 inch inlet alone and build a top for this cooler that has veins in it so it draws air past the veins and cools the air before it gets to the filter. like a radiator with a NO2 cooler just with cold water. (kinda)
|
is this on asphalt or dirt? if I was doin it in the dirt id try to dig a hole so he couldn't pull me back and on asphalt id hold the brakes till he broke lose then punch the throttle
|

I see what your sayin but I still think the air is goin to move to fast to make a difference when you up on boost. |
805.1 SAE Horsepower, rather inaccurate though as the dyno would not show torque numbers over 1400ft.lbs... don't have the dyno slip as i just formatted my pc :(

Torque and Hp always cross at 5252. I know you are not reving that high but at 3,000 rpm you are showing 300 ft.lbs of torque!!! a 4 clyinder gas motor does that. |
he explained why. the dyno wasnt loading and his big single wasnt moving hardly any air.
