What do you all think of water methanol injection and has anyone done it

I had one on my powerstroke when I owned it. Worked awsome!! The 6.0 didn't like the added boost and cylinder pressure it didn't take long it lifted the heads. Now with my 94 I'm wishing I kelp the kit.

I have it on my 06 CTD. It works great. Although, I only use it when I tow my travel trailer. It comes on at 10 psi of boost when I accelerate to hwy speeds, going up steep grades either on the hwy or in the mountains. Because of this, my truck does not hunt for gears when going up grades. Once my boost comes down, it shuts off on its own. I use about a 70/30% mixture. 70% distilled water and about 30% methyl alky. I usually use -0 degree windshield washer fluid, and then dilute it some more. I have a 10 gallon holding tank mounted in the bed of my truck. The kit I have is "Coolingmist". Go for it. you wont be sorry.:tu:

Im also using 2- 150cc nozzles, which seems to work for me. You can choose various size nozzles. The kit comes default with a 300cc nozzle. I have other size nozzles I can change if I want.

Thanks for all the input guys I'm guna go ahead and give it a try I think it should accomplish what I'm looking for.

When you do get it, follow the directions carefully, and to the letter. Do not, by any means, cut corners, or rush things. It takes about 2 1/2 hrs to do once you get things figured out. Study the instructions carefully before you start.
When I first got mine, I studied the instructions, and went to my truck visualizing and planning how and where things were gonna go. I did this the night before. The next day I installed it and it was surprisingly easy. Make sure you solder connections and use shrink-wrap. Butt-connectors work ok, but you never know, it may come loose or the wire(s) may slip out. Good luck with it. :tu:
