True story. Incidentally, only Dodge aficionados seem to be aware of that little bit of trivia.

Regardless, the looks of disbelief I get when I say there is no "chip" for it, it's all mechanical... well, they can be pretty comical.

they took the sulfer out of the diesel now it wont smoke but a bit and without the sulfure and oil in the fuel it will tear up the fuel pumps becuse theres no lubrication put about a coffe cup of mystery marvel oil each full tank of diesel to help your fuel pump survive thats wat i do i cant smoke for crap anymore with the diesel change:viking::viking:

One guy who I work with (2nd gen 12V) pours his old used motor oil in the gas tank every time he does an oil change.
Claims it runs better when he does this. Not going to try it myself.

:scare2: does it go through a filter?

Does it smoke more than usual?

ewww.

Bigg Redd 01-25-2013 10:26 PM

Lots of 12 valvers do this. Appearently this doesnt hurt the engine, however it should be very well filtered. This is claimed to increase the lubricity of our current ULSD, helps to lubricate the IP and Injectors. However, its not recommended for use in 24v CR engines. Not sure why though:humm:

JBearSVT 01-26-2013 08:55 AM

Not sure what he's running for filtration, I've never seen under his hood. I know his truck has some pretty big balls though, and doesn't smoke much at all.

Bigg Redd 01-26-2013 07:24 PM

Balls is good, smoke is just unburnt fuel going up in smoke and being wasted. No smoke is good....:rocking:

JBearSVT 01-26-2013 07:43 PM

Agreed.

if he wants smoke just throw a set of ddp 140 horse sticks in it crank that star wheel throw that fuel plate out crank the pump up a nice set of laser cut ddp delivery valves and your tranny will smoke just fine:jump::jump: thats what i had done to my 12v right after i put the bd'd out the ass tranny in it smoked like a mobile forest fire lol but i also was one of the kids who loved the smoke until i saw the light the tail lights actually of a propane injected 24v leaving virtually no smoke roll by my beast like i was standing still hehe
