98 cummings with the California emmisions. need help removing the EGR
1998 Quad cab 4X4 I need help getting rid of the EGR valve. I made plates for the both ends of the cross over tube and blocked it off. left the vaccume lines hooked up but the check engine light comes on. code reader says insufficant flow. What turns or makes the check engine light to come on.

I am in the same boat dude, I have a 98 12 valve with Cal emmissions and EGR valve must go. I was hoping to find the elimination process before I remove it. Meaning how to keep check engine light off. Very curious to see how this turns out. Please post if you figure something out and I will do the same.

I know there out there, looked it up the other day what I could find was they ran a tube over to the exhaust manifold, and left it in place?
