STALLS IN REVERSE
Hey guys on my 1996 Dodge I am having a problem in reverse. Whenever I put it into reverse the truck starts dropping rpms, and if I dont let off of the brake it will die. The idle is set at 850RPM and I adjusted the TPS today to sit at 1.3 volts at idle. Just wondering if anyone has any input on this.

Is the idle set with the dash tach or with a plug in to the computer?
There is a TSB telling you not to use the dash tach. Ram Diesel Problems Also did you set it with the A/C on? 1994-1998 with AT - in drive with AC on 750-800 RPM 1994-1998 with manual in neutral with AC on 750-800 RPM NOTE: These speeds may cause stalling when the engine is cold. If this is a problem for you, bump the idle speed to 900 RPM. Also See: https://www.dieselbombers.com/94-98-...djustment.html |
hey re adjusted the idle this weekend to 800rpms using a scan tool, and I am still having the issue.

Could be any number of things. From the pump to injectors to a tight converter. Might try and bump it up to 900rpm.
Who built the pump and what GSK kit? Chris |
