The shift kit is not difficult to install.. You need a good tq wrench, the valve body bolts only take like 18 in/lbs iirc.. basically you will drop the Valvebody, turn it over, replace a spring with one from the kit, and drill out the thin plate with the supplied drill bit. It does help to have someone there with you to help keep an eye on everything. YOu will also need all the trans fluid and a filter while your in there is a good idea. Take lots of pictures when you are taking it apart so you have some reference when you put it back together.
A piece of cardboard is a great bolt holder for those VB bolts.. you can draw out the VB with a sharpie, and punch each bolt thru the cardboard where they go in reference to the VB drawing. be very careful when disconnecting the electircal connections in there too.
As far as how much power it holds, a PPE on lvl 4 (225hp) makes about 450 rwhp. Dyno proven with stock or S&B intakes.. it will hold that but you will eat up torque converters. Its best to alwasy just build the trans up first before adding power.. this will drastically decrease your future headaches. :c:
