Post Exterior Clean Up

Just wondered if anyone has experience using these 2 products

Rust Bullet - Rust Corrosion Inhibitors Prevention Products Paint
Dent & Hole Repair - 3M Underseal Rubberized Undercoating Black (Aerosol)

Its the rust bullet (equalizer stuff) basically and the rubberized undercoating.

I know ive seen a few guys comment on the rust bullet stuff, but i havent seen anyone use or talk about using the rubber stuff.. Now having said that, my bro just bought a truck out of Indiana thats gorgeous (96 cummins) and it has the rear bumper and side of the truck (door panels on back) coated with this stuff. Not only does it look good on his it is supposed to stop rust from starting back up... Now being from Ohio that sounds good to me...

but i am looking to clean up the outside of my truck a little and id like to start getting rid of rust. I used to just paint over it but i hear it makes it worse so i stopped that about 2 weeks ago.... Now looking for the right way to do things. I have been searching the internet for tips/tricks. Just seeing what you guys/gals are using or have heard about!
