Default Striker FE And Comp. MPG Drop

Just installed the Striker FE that I received in the giveaway last night. I've only put about 25 miles on it but I've noticed that the MPG on the overhead computer has dropped about 1 mpg. I know that the comp is not entirely accurate and should not be relied upon, but I was kinda expecting the opposite. I don't know if this is just a side effect of having the module installed or not. I talked to a guy on another forum that says his Striker is doing similar, but when he has his turned up the mileage increases, and when it is set to FE it decreases. I haven't had it on long enough to see if the mileage has actually increased or not. Just curious to know if this is to be expected or not. -

I thought the Striker FE's only had the FE setting? , Also Hand calculate it, All you do it fill it up and hit trip then drive it for a day or so then fill it up again and take how many miles your tip says (100) and divide by many gallons you put in (5.7) = 17.5 MPG Example -

The FE does only have one setting...The other guy I was talking about has the Striker 1, just using it to show that his comp dropped when his was turned down as well. I am planning on hand calculating it, but gotta wait until I get paid so I can afford to put more than $20 in at a time -

Many times with a module like this you will see the same result you saw. The module is making sensors lie to the computer so the computer is going to lie to the the over head display. -

That's what I figured, but I didn't think it would need input from the rail press. sensor. I figured it would just need the level in the tank vs. miles driven. -

It actually registers the mileage by rail pressure and map sensor load on the engine. Look forward to hearing the results. -

Well...Filled it up and used about a 1/4 tank to go about 250 miles. Don't have the money to fill it up again and I'm going out of town for a month on Wed.....So, may be a while before I can get any results. -
