Default SD33, viable power in a 5500lb rig?

im currently considering pulling the nissan sd33/TF727/np208 out of my cj10a, and planting it in my cherokee xj.

I havent found much info on the internet from drivers of the N/A sd33's. i realize they arent a powerhouse, and I most likely wont have the power that the stock 4.0 will.

my goal is to travel freeway speeds and average better than 20mpg, with this engine, and re-gearing axles to suit.

Is this a pipe dream or can I achieve comfortable hwy speeds while pulling down 20+mpg with a sd33?

Hoping to hear from some guys with experience with these engines, I know they came in scouts( turbo), and in nissan patrols.

And just FYI, while a 4bt is the end-all-be-all, this sd33 option is free and sitting in my driveway, and a painfully simple swap. 4bt's are not free.
so please lets just keep it on topic of sd33.
