I was thinking re-manufactured crate motor, with all the stuff new. mine has 305k hard mile, already know that 2 injectors are going bad, and maybe the glow plugs. We haul horses, 16k of weight...need the confidence. which brand of re-manufactured would be the best?

Thats the route I would go. 12 valves pull better, get better mileage, more reliable and as long as you get an engine with under 200k it will still last another 300k if you maintain it. Ive had powerstokes and would never do it again for towing.
