Default Which programmer/tuner/chip is best for economy?

Folks,

I've spot checked several of the hundreds of threads here to search for the answer. I've looked at several manufacturers of tuners/programmers and can't figure out which one will give me the best economy. I've got a 2000 Excursion that will pull whatever I tell it to, so I don't particularly need an extra 285 ftlbs of torque. Which programmer should I buy for outstanding fuel economy? Several months ago one fella told me he got 26 MPG with a programmer on an F250! Which one was that? I didn't write it down and I don't remember what kind it was.

Any ideas? Please help.

Thank you.

Stephen

Thanks Smokeeater,

I'll check out the Ford part and talk to more folks about their personal experiences and opinions.

It's Stephen with an 'e', by the by.

Thanks for the word.
