simple questions that no one would answer on other forum
I have an Lmm an have a few questions regarding turbo cool down, warm ups, and idling.
I installed a remote start viper 5806 I know this has the turbo cool down feature but I currently don't have it programmed. Is the beneficial or best to be left unprogrammed? how does the turbo cool down when not remote started when we simply turn the key and exit the vehicle?
Second question. I have read and heard many times that diesels are not meant to idle for periods of time whether its for 15 mins or an hour its simply not good. But at the same time you also see people saying the truck always needs to be heated up and ready before you take off so which one is it?
I live in Virginia so the weather can get as low as 20 or high as 100s. Can someone elaborate on this to help a new guy out, the only upgrades on this truck from purchase is a efi live tune (120hp race mode) and a mbrp exhaust.
