Do to firewall clearance oil filter changes are a royal pain in the butt. The problem is the lid requires at least 6" of space above it before it can be tilted sideways. With the factory housing you must loosen the transmission bolts and jack up the rear of the trans to tilt the housing away enough to pull the lid. I have finally come up with a solution....
