hi guys not posted for a while i got a 7.3 with 5 in stacks and cold air i put a ts 6 pos on it straight from ts . I cant tell a difference between the 75 and the 140 setting. I called ts and they said wasnt getting enough fuel to it and called a performance shop and they think it was programmed for an automatic and i have a 6 speed. was wanting to know if you guys have any ideas before i spend the money.thanks

 

Doubtful it would run that way, it would set a hard SES light.


When you say you cant tell the difference, You should see much more smoke on hard accel with the 140 setting then the 75...

 

not much smoke at all on any setting you think it was just a bad program or you think im not getting enough fuel truck runs smooth just cant tell any difference

 

Sounds to me like Generic TS tunes... You probably won't get a full 140 like the tunes suggest, this is because you have stock injectors... Like Joe said, you might see more smoke though.

 

ok ill try new tunes cant afford injectors just yet but that is in the future thanks guys

 

i just put a ts chip in my factory 01 and what a HUGE difference between 40hp, 75hp, 100hp and 140hp setting. you can feel it as you just turn the settings up as you go down the road. 40hp will smoke just slightly, 140hp will smoke pretty good for a good second or two then cleans up..my 95 i can't see a huge difference in the ts chip and its a manual so idk what to tell ya??

 

Your 95 has smaller injectors...

 

Superduty has AD's with 140cc per 1000...

OBS has AA's with 90cc per 1000...

 

I'm gonna get a different program on my chip a custom tune what's a reasonable objectors to go with or will mine be ok I would like to get about 400 or so horse.I know im getting aa wicked wheel for the surge i get on heavy loads.

 

400hp...

Gauges
Intake
Exhaust
Turbo (38R or H2e type)
AC injectors or 238/80 hybrids

Stock tranny will not like pulling heavy at that HP, but you will have a towing monster at 300hp with no EGT issues.
