Hey guys. I am currently have an '06 Cummins and may need to get into something that will haul more people specifically, along with our 9,000 lbs. travel trailer. I am looking toward the 7.3 Excursion and wanted to get some conservative fuel economy number unloaded around town and on the highway, and when pulling the travel trailer around 65 mph. Any info would be great. Thanks. -

from what I've seen -- the 2wd can get about 14 in town, 19-20 if driven conservatively on the hwy...
4wd will be around 13 city, 17 hwy 6.0 will get slightly better mileage... all estimates are unloaded of course... these numbers are based off of my family looking into buying one in the spring and what I've discussed with excursion owners... - |

Thanks Blue. I was hoping for a little better numbers than that, especially with diesel being $1 more per gallon. -

The Ex is an 8,000 lb. brick--those numbers, while lower than a Prius gets, aren't too shabby in light of it's weight and aerodynamics. -

I had a Excursion with the v-10. Now that thing sucked some fuel. I've been thinking about going back to a diesel. I really miss the Excursion. Hard to beat the room in those things.
