Mega Fuse and Fusable Links?
2001 F250 7.3. Recently had my battery light come on and the truck electrical system go dead, including batteries. I replaced the alternator, but my battery light still flickers or comes on and off. Usually on when coasting and off when going. The batteries are about 2 and a half years old-Interstate. They tested fine (connected) at Autozone. Their test showing nothing wrong, but my batteries are dying slowly when I drive it.
I have read about a 1,000 forum posts and it seems it is the mega fuse (175 amp) or the fusable links. Can someone post a pic of where these are? I would at least like to eliminate the possibility. I have check the couple other fuses that are talked about in the box under the hood and under the dash.
I believe the fuseable links are under the conduit, and I don't have a tester. Is the mega fuse on the conduit as well?
All help is appreciated. I need to get this truck running again. Matt
