Default Oil change

So needing an oil change, but does it really matter where you get it done? For example before with my gas vehicles I went to wal mart. Good or bad idea to take my diesel there? It's like $100 cheaper, so I'm really hoping it doesn't matter...

All depends on the the oil used, and filters. Filters are important, fram filters are junk and Fleetguard is by far the best filter for you truck. Not all oil's are equal. The cheap walmart oil does not have some of the additives to fight the heavy soot in diesel engines, nor the propeties to protect you cam and bearings inside your engine. I recommend Valvoline or Roettela Triple-T oil. I dont trust wal-mart monkeys as far as I can spit, but I do all my own work. If you think they guy changing your oil is competent then I guess.

Like said above too Delo and Schaefeers is good oil to we use Delo in our shop but is twice as much as rottela.

hmmm, wonder if I buy the better oil and filter if they would use them. I would change this myself cause its too easy, but I don't have a big enough container for the old oil
