Default 06 6.0

I just tested ficm tested fine 48.5 in forward position 48.5 cranking 48.5 running. I just changed all fuel filters n oil filter motorcraft. I cleaned water drain plug out very well brake clean etc... I added some sea foam to the oil an to the fuel.
The truck has had hot no start issue for awhile. It needs to be plugged in to start after sitting for overnight or numerous hrs. The truck surges getting up to speed like its trying to draw more fuel but can't. It is serverly under powered. Hence the recent fuel filters n oil change.i can't check with enginenty cause I broke my doogle with ford bundle on it. It did have codes I read last night misfire all cylinders an another I'm trying to get those codes agin but cleared them. I need help!

Sometimes the FICM is bad even with good voltages

How is that with ficm? The stc fitting an oil cooler needed to be dun anyway ( oil cooler really really needed to be dun). So no loss on those an as long as hpop is fine I shouldn't need to be back in there for quite sometime. Is there a way to tell on ficm other than voltage tests. I gotta order nother doogle for my auto enginuty still but that will be a little while. I gotta finish getting back together tommrow n weld egr cooler shut.

Sounds like you have a few things going on.

The reason for the post on the FICM was that you mentioned it "needs to be plugged in to start in the mornings". That could also be "Stiction" (injector) related. Archoil 9100 oil additive has worked for a lot of folks that had stiction issues.

As far as the FICM goes, the best bet is swap in a known good one. It is just a computer, so there could be issues w/ the logic side just as easily as the power supply side (although it is much less common). Some companies (like FICMrepair.com) can test the entire unit, but that involves sending it in. I guess I would try the Archoil first if I were you.

As far as the surging and low power .............. When you get the AE back, post up the DTC numbers. Also, post up ICPv, ICP pressure, IPR duty cycle numbers. Wouldn't hurt to see MFDES and fuel pulse width too.

Also - After opening up the HPO side of things, it is common to get lint, etc in the system and trash an IPR valve.

Got it all back together an can't get it to fire up. Sounds like it almost wants to but dosnt.

I'm going to send ficm out today. I'm debating on pulling all injectors out n getting them tested. I was wondering if I could get them modded for a little extra hp. This is dtrk so I just want little extra power for that purpose.

I have 1500psi when I plugged gauge in the ipc sensor spot. Is that good? Still not firing little smoke.

I've got over 50 psi at fuel pump on gauge

Well test plug on filter housing

Check to see if you have FICM sync - I would guess that you do not.
