I did hook my grid heater up. Getting those cold winters in Jersey, the thing didnt like it. I've moved to Texas for 3 months now. So i guess ill see if it gets cold enough here to use it. I just used 2 ford starter solenoids to power the grid and ran a push button switch under the dash to activate them. Ill just hold it for 15 seconds or so after starting it. And the vacuum line for the heater controls should come out where the hvac/blower box is...if you have an ac box

OK I probably should wire mine up too ohio isn't much better. And I don't have an ac box I'm gonna crawl under the dash and check it out.

Wow, just found this thread twwtruck! Good info here

I'm going to start my conversion during my Christmas break. Putting it in my '78 Ford Crewcab 4x4 longbed. I'm about researched out from all the stuff I've read.

I do have a couple of questions or requests (please)

* Did you use an A518? If so, what all did you need to do to make that Advanced Adapters adaptor to work with the married NP205?
* Do you have some pics of how your gas pedal assy?
* And pics of your t-case shifter mounts & linkage?
* And pics of your Trans shifting linkage?

Thanks for the help

Ryan

well hello and welcome! I always wanted a crew cab 78 ford myself with the round headlights.

:yes I used the 518 out of a 95 dodge with O/D and lock up T/C. all you need is that adapter and spud shaft that comes with it. they send you bolts and gasket. I also used silicone just to be safe.

and I will see if I can get some pics today some time of the linkages. basically just had to re drill holes in the frame for the tcase mount.

it took me about 3 hours to get my trans column shifter to work right and used all factory ford parts just had to do some fabbing to them.

Awesome, thanks. No reason to recreate the wheel when I can copy from someone other's success

Here's my crew that I'm converting:
