I am taking a getrag out of a 1993 Dodge 1 ton 2wd with a cummins 5.9 and replacing with a NV 4500 out of a 1996 Dodge,problem is my getrag used a speed sensor in the tail shaft with a generator built into the sensor to operate the speedometer,my 1996 VV4500 does not have the tail shaft port and the output shaft also is not fitted for the gear drive assembly for the sensor.The only option I have is to pick my reference of the ABS in the rear end housing as I see it,does anyone out there know of a conversion kit to convert the signal from my ABS signal in the rear to the generator signal that was being produced by my origional speed sensor,I do not have a speedometer that is cable driven,this is electric.Thanks regg

 

i have a getrag, and an nv4500 in a bucket, my plan was to build it eventually, but when i got it i tried the getrag spedo gear housing in the nv4500 and it fit, mine is a gm "light duty" tail housing that we were going to mate to a dodge hd case, but you may be able to find one from say a 94 dodge that would have the same size hole.
