Your easiest way out here would be to sandblast it off and have it Rhino lined, or what ever brand you like. Doesn't have to be a smooth finish to coat with it and look great.
The rust spots you have are old rock chips that nicked the Chrome plating and is spreading, it will just keep getting bigger and deeper until you do something to get it out. Rust is a cancer, once it starts it just spreads until you cut it out completely and sandblasting will do this.
Yep that might be a good idea for me to try. Sad part is I bought this truck brand shiny new in October and it has 22K on it now. I could probably get a replacement from Dodge but it would do the same most likely. Good thing we don't salt the roads here or it would be toast.
Thanks

Stick it to em for a new bumper and don't mount it, just put it up on E-bay and get some money for it. Then you can buy a nice replacement type. The stock bumpers on all these 2nd and 3rd generation trucks are nothin more than doubled over tin foil. -
I learned the lesson to late. Took me 3 deer to finally figure out that I would have saved money if I would have just bought my Ranch Hand before I hit the first one. The cost of that repair would have paid for the new bumper and prevented the damage, then I paid two more times after that. Now I got the bumper and I can't get a deer to step out there. I wanna see what it would do and they won't do it. Pisses me off. -

LMAO...aint that just the way??.... Buy the big bumper to protect the truck and you couldnt hit a deer if you drove in the ditch...sounds too much like me. -
