new 2010 duramax
I'm sure you guys know about the rumored new duramax and its numbers. I've always wanted a dmax, just could never quite afford one, until now. I'm looking at picking up an 09 but just read up on the rumored new engine and am kind of on the fence about waiting or getting a sweet deal now. Gonna be pulling a 40 toy hauler and while the 09 could handle it, you know I don't want to miss the boat on the new one. Anyway I've looked around on this and a few other forums and all posts about this new engine kind of dried up a couple months ago. Say mid-March. I was really hoping to find some up to date info but have not found anything, maybe because of GM's "situation." So I guess what I am looking for is:
1. Any new info? Anything concrete.(I know, probably not).
2. When could I expect the new model? I know normally August/September but with GM down who can tell. If not the model, when will we find out anything concrete?
3. Should I just pick up the 09 and throw the extra $$$ into it and build up the numbers? If it is true what they say, I would really like that 8-speed Allison though.
Thanks in advance.

so is GM actually building anything right now. i went to my local dealership and had slim pickings. Only 3 4X4 diesels. All 1LT's. No fog lights, leathter or any good options. Last year these guys had 20 Diesel 4x4 on the lot. Looked around on line and could not find much more. Only thing available besides Black, are basic models.

I am really bummed about the 1/2 ton D-Max.
But the 2500/3500 will live on.
