Default colorado "duramax"

Even though the new 4 cyl. duramax isn't made by Isuzu, what do you think? I'm a cummins guy, but I already have two of them, and want to downsize for my next truck. too new a subject for feedback?

I think any response you get will be mostly conjecture since they aren't in the wild yet.

If it was me I'd wait till at least the second year they are out, see what kind of bugs might need to be worked out.

They have been in the wild over seas for a number of years. I work for a chevrolet dealer, they claim they have already worked out the bugs. They dont make that claim often.

GM 2.5L And 2.8L 4 Cylinder Baby Duramax Turbo Diesel Engines | GM Authority

Far as i am aware they are only making a few changes to meet emissions requirements, increasing battery/starter capacity for our cold climates, and modifying turbo operation for high altitude operation. I believe they are currently operating in asian countries near the equator which lack mountainous areas. Im excited for them to start rolling into dealers this spring, but i have seen window stickers on colorados upwards of 38k so price might be a issue. Just got my wife a low 40k silverado zr1 with the pretty new, and incredibly badass ecotec3 5.3 v8. GM 5.3 Liter V8 EcoTec3 L83 Engine Info, Power, Specs, Wiki | GM Authority It doesnt show up everywhere but there is a considerable power rating increase from filling them with e85

I would also like to add, this is what it would take for me to be in the market for a colorado...
