Mazda Millennia Belt Tensioner? and giraffes
There's two belts on this engine. One belt makes screeching sounds on start-up.
The "tensioner" on the belt I can see well looks like it's a pulley on an adjustable bolt. Does this look right to you guys? It looks like the bolt is cocked sideways against what it's supposed to be adjusting, I don't see how it's not supposed to do that though.
I've also attached a picture of some giraffes.

Hmmm... That sounds plausible. Maybe the whole pulley ended up 180 degrees off the last time the belt was changed?
The woman at work said it was making noise and they just changed the belt. It didn't look right, but I didn't know what it should've looked like and I didn't want to work on it so I just took a picture.
Here's another giraffe picture. My wife and I are fattening these babies up. Hopefully they'll make some good barbeque come Christmas time.

yea there is a nut on the face of the pulley that you need to loosen then you can spin the nut on the back side to line up with the adjustment thread. If they tried to loosen the adjuster without loosing the front nut all that happened was what you see there. I think the nut on the front is a 16 or 17 mm. Been awhile since i've messed with a mazda.
