Default Shops. Let's see'um

I'm thinking of building one or having my dad go in on one with me. Let's see what you got. I'm thinking something big enough to get a full size tractor in and a lift and have room for other things. 40'x60' or so. Let's see them.

I've got a 30x50 with full size doors on each end. I keep my Harley, toolbox dirtbike and 6 atvs in it with plenty of room for my lift and one other vehicle.. When I build my next one it will have doors on the side instead of the ends though.. I would rather have "bays" than just an open shop. I will post some pics in a little bit.

I'm thinking a big overhead on one end and maybe 2 small truck overheads on the side. I'd like a 14' ceiling for bigger tractors and enough room to back a trailer in or something. I'm tired of having to be at other peoples mercy on shop space. A lot of my repairs on my trucks I think I could do if I had the space to leave it for a few days if i had to wait on parts and not take up other peoples shop space. I would like to be able to work on my own things.

My shop is 54X66 with 15' side walls with floor heat.
I have a 24' wide 15'tall overhead door on the south side. I used a scissor raftor so I could have a door opening as tall as the sidewalls.
I also have a 14X14 side overhead door.

My shop is 24x50 with a 18x20 storage room on the side, had a 20x12 wood shed but the roof was falling in so I tore it off (shop was built in 74 and jacked with a new floor under the main building in 00) addin a couple (3) pieces next summer 20x30 wghere the wood shed was ,a 26x60 on the opposite side and after that is all done and the storage room re-organized (30 yrs of junk) gonna move it and replace w/an office
BUT IT WILL NEVER BE BIG ENOUGH

Mine is 40x85 with a 16' ceiling. Plus a 16x85 added on warehouse with 11' ceilings. Then a small cubby thats 24x18 for the machines with a 10' ceiling, and 55x18 for the office space and bathroom and break room. The extra 6' is a utility room with all the breakers, water heater, phone lines, all that crap. Have 240V and 480V 3-Phase run into the building, a waste oil furnace, compressed air, and a full bay door that I can pull the Stieger in and out of, along with semi's when I need. The side warehouse has a loading dock, but with the **** piles near the shop the big trucks can't get swung in to use it, so my neighbors (own an old Agway next door) let me use there loading dock when I need. I'll have to get some pictures.

Heres some pics of my 30x50.. You can see its full of toys right now. The 2 post lift will be installed at the back door. Its all free span inside, but I hate that I need to rent a lift to change the lights..
