So I made the transition a little while back to run my truck on SVO and have averaged about 200 miles per purchased gallon. My new neighbor has a BD setup and has offered me a proposition, since I already have all of the equipment to get down to about 1 micron via filters and a centrifuge, for every 100 gallons of clean oil I give him, he will fill my tank with BD.

My current setup is a 57 gallon main tank (same location as stock) and a 50 gallon heated aux tank in the bed. I filled the main once in 2013 while putting about 11k on the odometer. With an average of $4.00/gal I spent $228 on those 57 gallons which after 11,000 miles comes to $0.0207/mile.

Now obviously my running cost for fuel will never be $0.00 because of the price of filters but that $0.02/mile can now go toward things like beer.

What do y'all think?
