Whats the best combo of intake/exhaust/chip/gauges for a 7.3?

just looking to get a little better towing and or MPG without hurting the reliability of the truck/clutch/trans/rearend/ etc. -

Stock... If you dont want to hurt it...

If you can assume some risk...

A AFE stage 2 intake, 4" turbo back exhaust system and a mild chip should net you around 280-300RWHP and a nice driving pickup. -

try the superchips 120 horse tuner, i have one in mine and i absolutely love it. 120 horse in high performance, 80 in tow performance, and im not sure what it is in tow safe mode, but you have three modes, just plug and play. also, in high performance, we're talking about 18 to 20 mpg highway, towings not much worse either. -

How much risk would be involved with what you suggest? What would you expect to fail?

With the exhaust Mod...should i delete the Cat?

Also, with the intake....is the Dry fliter all it's cracked up to be?

More MPG would be a great help also...for the time being (cold and rainy) the truck is my daily driver (ride motor cycle when its nicer weather). Around town I'm getting 15-16 mpg and towing around 10-12mpg depending on the speed, hills, wind, etc. -

Ive always liked the TS 6 position tuner, might want to get a valvebody and a tc just to be on the safe side, there are also some fueling mods that you can do yourself to free up some extra hp and a few more mpg

A wicked wheel is also a nice upgrade thats fairly cheap and easy to install. Also takes care of some of the surging issues. -
