Default 97 f350 7.3 PS. Power problems

My truck has 320,000 on it, it's a work truck that has been pulling, pushing and hauling from day 1. Lack of power over the last year has increasingly worsened. When going up hills with the pedal to the floor it sounds like it spits and pops and won't go over 40mph. Even empty, seems to idle ok but a little rough.......any ideas?

Last time I changed the fuel filter there was a bit of sediment at the bottom so I drained in and cleaned it out the best I could, I have plenty of fuel pressure when it's running 55+ , should I clean the sediment again and is there anything else to clean when changing fuel filter?

Drain it, pop a new filter in and see if that helps. Don't really need to clean anything

Scan it, do a buzz and contribution test on it as well

Can you explain, what is needed and how to?
I'm not a mechanic but can pretty much fix anything with a little guidance?
Thanks

You need a scan tool to scan it and do these tests. The buzz tests the injector solenoids and the contribution test makes sure all the injectors are contributing the same.
